TV: The X Factor UK 04.12.11

Be careful what you wish for…

Then again, this weekend has delivered the final line-up I was expecting, so sometimes it’s good to wish upon a star.

Those of you looking for reasons as to why MB had to go, look no further than Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke and Rebecca Ferguson. As talented as you may be, we don’t need – and are not in the market for – another huge voice in this vein. Not needed, not necessary and thus, not on the show next week.

Misha B was kicked out of The X Factor UK

Thanks though – it was fun while it lasted and for a moment there, I really thought you had a shot – should have known better really when I saw that Amelia had replaced you at the end of the Marks & Spencer Christmas advert. That said, I would much rather have seen her in the final instead of Marcus.

Who the hell is voting for him? If it’s you – yeah, you – stop it. Can’t you see what kind of material he’s going to be delivering if he pulls it off? Not big, not clever, not going to happen. We don’t want anybody else with McElderry syndrome hanging around do we. No we don’t. I’ll grant you that you’re destined for bigger things than hairdressing but not this.

There’s no way Little Mix can pull this off. The cracks started to show in the talent this week and hopefully, all the people voting for them have got a cap on their mobile phone credits. They’re not even half as good as The Saturdays. They have no personality – individually or collectively – and the pointed fact is, we don’t need them either. Despite what the judges keep talking about, there isn’t a gap in the market for them at all. The sky is not the limit for these girls. A tour of small town venues – once – is the limit and with some luck, the voting public will have figured that out.

Which leaves us with Amelia and I have nothing to say that she hasn’t said herself. Game over. Get your phone out. Make it happen. Bring it on, etc… There will be hellfire and brimstone next week if this doesn’t happen how I think it will…
