V Festival 2012 line-up is brilliant

It’s been out for a few weeks now, but the line up for the highly anticipated 2012 V Festival does not disappoint.

V Festival, which takes place this year on the weekend of August 18th – 19th in Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Shifnal promises to be one of the biggest outdoor musical festivals of 2012.

With The Stone Roses and The Killers headlining, this year appears to be more ‘rocking’ than 2011 which saw the likes of Rihanna and Eminem taking the main stage. Snow Patrol return to V Festival after last performing in 2009 and being bumped up to headline in Chelmsford after Oasis infamously split up after their Weston Park performance on the Saturday night. Noel Gallagher will also be returning this year; just with his High Flying Birds instead of his brother.

Also due to perform across the weekend is the feisty Nicki Minaj, crowd-pleasing DJ David Guetta and two-time Brit award winner and our favourite ginger, Ed Sheeran. Joining them will be Tinie Tempah, Example, Keane, Madness, James Morrison, Emeli Sandé, Nero, Professor Green, Noah & the Whale, LMFAO, Tom Jones, Madness, Pixie Lott, Rizzle Kicks, Nero, Olly Murs, Labrinth, Lissie, The Ting Tings, The Human League, The Proclaimers, The Stranglers, DJ Fresh, The Enemy, Friendly Fires, Happy Mondays, Ben Howard, Frank Turner, Maverick Sabre, Miles Kane, Dappy, Frank Ocean, Shed Seven, Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Reverend and the Makers, Inspiral Carpets and many more to be announced across the four stages. The Glee Club Comedy Tent will also be returning after its success last year.
