It doesn’t ‘relocate’ the story somewhere ‘unspecified’ at all! It quite specifically and categorically says it’s Rome, both in the dialogue (obviously) and in on-screen captions. It’s just a Rome presented as being very Balkan-looking…

I wanna see a relative nobody get elevated through the match. Let someone like Zack Ryder, John Morrison, or Santino win it. Then use the next 3 months to elevate them for the show.

I’d like to correct a failure: The director and leading actor (and partly writer and producer ) isn’t Joseph Fiennes, but his elder brother, Ralph Fiennes, twice Oscar nominee, Richard Harris Price winner BAFTA nominee Tony Award winner etc. I can’t imagine how could he change his name so rapidly, because at the beginning of the article he had his original first name.
